Average Hourly Wages for the Child Care Workforce by Region
Child care professionals in the Southcentral region made less per hour than their counterparts in the Northern/Interior and Southeast regions. While the average hourly wage for a child care professional in the Southeast region is $21.20 per hour, it is only $18.45 per hour on average in the Southcentral region.
Head Start administrators in the Northern/Interior region had the highest average hourly wage ($44.29).
